My Statement:

Life is a winding journey with ups, downs, and detours that can feel overwhelming, leaving you stuck, guilty, or hopeless. Therapy offers a judgment-free space to process emotions, gain clarity, and reframe negative thoughts. You are more than your struggles—when you're ready, let’s talk.

Experience and Education:

Kristine is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) who works with adults navigating major life transitions, grief and loss, caregiving challenges, and periods of feeling overwhelmed or “stuck.” She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University and her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

Kristine brings both professional and personal experience to her work. Prior to entering the counseling field, she worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer and substitute teacher while raising her two sons. Her experience as a mother and caregiver to a child with Williams Syndrome has also given her a meaningful understanding of the demands that can come with caregiving, changing family roles, and unexpected life circumstances.

Using Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches, Kristine supports clients experiencing grief and loss, relationship and family changes, caregiving stress, motherhood, menopause and midlife transitions, and other significant changes in identity or life direction. She strives to provide a supportive space where clients can process difficult experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, and adjust to new seasons of life with greater confidence and clarity.
