My Statement:
Relationships—whether with a partner or yourself—can be both beautiful and challenging. I help young adults and couples navigate life’s complexities with clarity, connection, and confidence. Many young adults carry invisible loads like identity struggles, family dynamics, anxiety, burnout, and the pressure to “have it all figured out,” while couples may face disconnection, conflict, betrayal, or major life transitions. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative—I engage, reflect, and challenge you to do the meaningful work of healing, growth, and creating relationships that feel authentic and lasting.
Experience and Education:
Christy is a post-graduate Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) from Mercer University and a former Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). She has worked extensively with children, adolescents, and families in both clinical and behavioral health settings, supporting individuals with Autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, mood disorders, and other developmental and emotional needs. While she still values her work with families, Christy now focuses on helping children ages 8+, adolescents, and couples navigate emotional overwhelm, relational disconnection, and communication challenges.
Her approach combines Solution-Focused strategies and Gottman Method tools with Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) principles to go deeper into the emotions and attachment needs that drive behavior. Whether working with couples to rebuild connection or guiding young clients toward greater self-awareness and emotional regulation, Christy offers a warm, structured, and empathetic space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change.
