My Statement:

If it’s hard to express yourself or feel connected in your relationships, you might feel stuck, shut down, or misunderstood. I work with individuals, couples, and families—especially adolescents—to build confidence, improve communication, and create stronger, more meaningful connections. My approach is supportive, practical, and rooted in real-life strategies that help you understand your patterns and shift them in lasting ways. When working with couples, I integrate Gottman Method tools to help partners improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connection.

Experience and Education:

Christy is a master’s-level Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) intern through Mercer University and a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). She has experience working with children, adolescents, and families in clinical and behavioral health settings, with a background supporting individuals with disabilities including Autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, and mood disorders. While she continues to support families, Christy now focuses more on working with adolescents and couples navigating emotional overwhelm, relational disconnection, and communication challenges.

Her clinical approach blends Solution-Focused and Experiential Therapy with principles of attachment theory. In her work with couples, Christy incorporates tools from the Gottman Method to support healthier communication and emotional closeness. As a parent herself, she brings empathy, structure, and real-life perspective to therapy—offering a space where clients feel heard, supported, and capable of change.
